Founded in 2007, Vonnegut Thoreau Construction brings together more than three decades of hands-on construction experience in its three partners and principal builders: Justin Garibaldi, Matt Joyce and Kevin McCreight. We specialize in residential and commercial remodel, including historic renovations and seismic upgrades.

As an artisan-style builder, we integrate the parts that create an exceptional finished product at a good price: skilled craftsmanship, careful management, and attention to a client's unique needs.

The VTC business model ensures that at least one of the three partners serves as project manager for each job. This model allows us to work closely with the client, emphasizing a personal touch, professionalism and accountability.

Vonnegut Thoreau completes our projects on-time and on-budget, with a focus on teamwork, planning, and execution. Beginning in the pre-construction phase, we generate a detailed schedule and budget. We help clients to track and understand the overall process. We believe in pro-active management, meeting with clients every week to update job progress.
